Travel to Las Vegas

Las Vegas, the name of this place reminds us of extravaganza, joy, fun, gambling, casinos. When we decided to go to Las Vegas, we had another train of thoughts - How will we take care of Sloka in the flight? What about her food? Would they allow kids in casinos? Either ways, we decided to go. For me, it was to take the ladies out of the home, even though I knew that all the struggle always would be for Samee (except the fact of cooking for me and her)

So, the day came, we had planned for the minimal things to do there, started our way to the airport. We now have a favorite place for Sloka in the airport and this time, she was way into that place.

All excited to play in this area. Now, it has become a ritual for us to take a pic of Sloka (and Sameera) at this location.

This is when we went to NYC

Getting ready to go out!

Our evening walk

On the way to shark reef aquarium - singing "Shark do do" song

All excited to see the fishes. The interesting part was she was listening to what we were showing her.

We together

A little girl offered to take our pic. Sameera and I was thinking of making up grow Sloka too in that manner

All excited to be near the water, even though the guard was shouting. Sloka was shouting louder :)

An avid listener

Did you see that?

Not so interested. It was chilly windy day. Sloka was roaring at the lion and we were finding it hard to be outside in the cold.

Back at room, one of her favorite things to do - Check the cupboards!!

Your mind rightly put into words. Going through your blog and pics made me realize how much fun we had together.
You have missed posting the flamingo video of Sloka:)

Why do I shoot and love photography?

I had been thinking of this question - Why do I love taking pics? Why do I shoot? Why do I take the "pain" of carrying cameras and lenses when pics can be taken using phones? These are questions from my near and dear ones to prick my brain to see what is it that I like about photography. This led me to a train of thoughts, I gave quite a bit of time to think about it - when riding to office, when taking a walk alone and so on. It has always been about seeing the smile on my loved ones when I show them a pic that I had taken, that takes them back to the time (it was taken). There is a lot of chaos in our lives (everyone's lives), lot of fear (of many uncertainties). For me, it is when I see this pics and when I share them with my loved ones, I see Hope. I see happiness. Hope of having a great time ahead, Happiness that there was such a time, which was else forgotten in our busy-ness of the lives.  I live for seeing such emotions. I live t...

Transformations of a tree - Welcoming Spring!!

Welcoming Spring When would that tree over there start showing life? - Asked my mother-in-law, who was visiting us from India, to help us welcome our little one. This was indeed a spring that we were waiting for. In a week or so Amma- replied me. She was interested to see how the tree transformed and there she gave me a good project for my photography. Trying and getting the pic of the tree daily to see and enjoy the transformation, to remember it as a memory of her first spring in the US. Thus started this. It was difficult to get this done every day - remember the new born :) (rushing to the office and other chores made it hard to capture it daily.)  Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Day 4 Day 5 Day 6 Day 7 This remi nds me that the only thing that is static i n this wor ld is Change. Confusing.. huh?!?
